The Perioperative Anesthesia Reports (PAR) is the official publication of the São Paulo State Society of Anesthesiology (SAESP – Sociedade de Anestesiologia do Estado de São Paulo, Brazil) since 2023. It publishes original works in all areas of anesthesia, critical care, pain, palliative care, and perioperative medicine as well as technology innovation and medical education.

The Perioperative Anesthesia Reports is an electronic and continuous-flow Diamond Open Access journal that publishes, in US English, double-blinded peer-reviewed Case Reports, Case Reports with Literature Review, Research Protocols, Systematic Reviews, Pictorial Reviews, Narrative Reviews, Letters to the Editor, Clinical Images, Short Communications. It also publishes Editorials. It does not accept submissions of data results of original investigations related to randomized or observational trials, or other related study design trials.

PAR accepts only original manuscripts which are not under consideration by any other scientific publication and were not published before. Studies presented as abstracts in conferences or meetings, academic theses, and preprints are accepted as long as it is enlightened in the cover letter.

Authors retain the copyrights of their articles, which are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting immediate unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

The São Paulo State Society of Anesthesiology (SAESP) sponsors the journal thoroughly.
PAR does not charge any fees – free to read, submit and publish.
